The objective of this eight hour intensive is to confront all the excuses you have made that have prevented you from leveling up your career, your artistry, your work and then eliminating them from your future.

- you will be required to come to class with a clear goal to tackle with me AND THE REST OF THE GROUP.


- the morning will be dedicated to addressing the various CHALLENGES, FEARS, FRUSTRATIONS AND INSECURITIES YOU ARE BRINGING TO THE TABLE. i will be helping you to strategically map out STEPS YOU NEED TO GET OUT OF YOUR OWN WAY. I will provide general feedback and ideas that everyone can apply in their own lives, EVEN IF IT'S NOT NECESSARILY SOMETHING RELATABLE AT THE MOMENT..


- after lunch, we do the work. you will be broken into groups that share similar goals and will dedicate 4 full hours to setting yourself up for successful goal achieving AND EXCEEDING. I will be rotating between groups working with everyone EVERY HOUR, including 1:1 TIME WITH EVERY SINGLE ATTENDEE.


- YOU WILL LEAVE THE CLASS WITH AN ACTIONABLE PLAN, A HUGE DENT IN WORK YOU'VE BEEN PUTTING OFF FOR A LONG TIME AND A COMMUNITY OF PEOPLE TO HOLD EACH OTHER ACCOUNTABLE MOVING FORWARD.

THIS MASTERCLASS WILL CHANGE THE WAY YOU SHOOT!

This is the very closest I can get to hopping inside your brain and act as an annoying back seat driver as your make pictures in the field. 

- WE WILL BE USING MY VERY SPECIAL TECHNOLOGY WHICH ALLOW ME TO SEE INSIDE THE VIEWFINDER OF YOUR CAMERA. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A MIRRORLESS, YOU CAN USE MINE WHICH IS A SONY.

- EACH PARTICIPANT WILL GET 30-40 MINUTES IN THE FIELD. YOU WILL HAVE A SPECIAL TRANSMITTER CONNECTED TO THE HOT SHOE OF YOUR CAMERA ALLOWING MYSELF AND THE PARTICIPANTS TO SEE WHAT YOU ARE SEEING, IN A DIFFERENT ROOM.


- I WILL BE ABLE TO MENTOR YOU IN THE FIELD VIA HEADPHONES WHILE WATCHING EVERY COMPOSITION, SETTING AND USE OF LIGHT CHOICE YOU MAKE.


- AFTER LUNCH WE WILL REVIEW ALL OF YOUR CONTACT SHEETS TO ENGAGE IN CONVERSATION REGARDING CHALLENGES, PROBLEM SOLVING, PERSONAL PERSPECTIVE AND WORKING A SCENE.

- ALL THE SESSIONS WILL BE RECORDED AND AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO REVIEW ON-DEMAND VIA MY TEACHABLE WEBSITE.

PHOTO BLOCKS

Kirsten will be sharing a full contact sheet with behind-the-scenes footage her working in the field to address countless challenges photographers face when photographing real life situations without the ability to control the environment or subjects.

This time will be dedicated to sharing the most relevant, applicable, actionable approaches to getting your work seen by the right people and propelling your momentum forward in a direction towards success. This is about social media, local and international networking and leveraging bridge building outside of your industry.

Do I have to be a working, professional photographer?

No. You do not. If you are attending a conference, my guess is that you have come to learn and be inspired as a photographer. I am positive that even if you are not a professional, you have goals for yourself.

Where will the class be held?

I am not sure yet. I will wait until I know how many attendees before securing a location for the workshop. I am capping the class at 14, but will be closing registration on March 1st.

YOUR EYES

We will begin by taking turns allowing each participant the opportunity to photograph in the field using a mirrorless camera. The objective is to give each photographer the ability to ask questions, problem solve and try new approaches with Kirsten in their eyes and ears in real time.

KIRSTEN'S EYES

Once everyone has had a chance to be guided in the field, time permitting, Kirsten will then go into the field and photograph as well. The participants will be in another room, with the monitor, and be able to ask questions WHILE she is actively photographing and engaging with the subjects.

EDIT BLOCKS

After lunch we will review everyone's contact sheets together as a group. The intention is NOT to critique the pictures, this was done live in the field. The purpose of this practice is to quickly choose which photographs are strongest to deliver in a very unattached manner. The goal is to depersonalize your editing process in order to personalize your point of view.

WHAT / who WILL WE BE PHOTOGRAPHING?

I am not exactly sure yet. Once I know how many people are registered, a max of 4, I will secure our subjects. It will be in Rotterdam for sure. I know it will be either a family or some sort of organization with human subjects.
