I photographed Amanda and Garrett’s wedding a couple of years ago in Richmond, Va and I immediately fell in love with the both of them. Actually, I’ve kind of become an honorary member of the family as I am about to photograph my FOURTH Magruder wedding next month! I was so excited to hear that they were expecting this past winter and even more excited when I heard they wanted me to come photograph their new baby boy. Kellen, although completely alert the entire session, was so good. He just laid there and smiled, yawned, stared and warmed my heart. I thought I would share some of my favorite photos of the day with all of you!

Over the years I have taken every opportunity possible to see her live and support her killer music. About a year ago, while she was prepping to record her newest album, Chris came to Philadelphia to rehearse with Andy while we were living there. We also took an afternoon to shoot around the city. It was great getting a sneak preview of the newest music, catch up over some late night good eats and photograph such an incredible artist.
A couple of weeks ago Chris was playing in Washington, DC while I was up there for a few engagement sessions so I had a chance to catch up with my friend and photograph her playing with her new live band, and it rocked . . . . hard. She’s on tour for the next few months so if you get the opportunity to see her play, I HIGHLY recommend it. You can see her tour list either on FACEBOOK or her SITE. Also, don’t even think about it just go buy her new album because it’s amazing . . . . really it is.
Okay, now onto the show. The first part of the tour, Chris was traveling with a band called Xylos. They were really awesome, as well, and opened the show.
And then Chris Pureka and her band took the stage, oh and did I mention? It’s an all female band!!!
At the very end of the 2nd set, Chris’ cousin came on stage and signed the last song. It was a really cool way to end the night.

So, as I think I had mentioned, Andy and I spent Thanksgiving with the amazing Finocchiaro family. Carla and I have been super close friends since meeting in Florida while both attending FAU almost 12 years ago. Wait, is that right? It can’t be. Oh my GOD. I am actually [...]

Carla and I have been super close friends since meeting in Florida while both attending FAU almost 12 years ago. Wait, is that right? It can’t be. Oh my GOD. I am actually having this revelation as I type. Really, Carla and I have been friends for almost 12 years now? Holy FILL IN THE BLANKS! Anyway, I have know her family for just as long. Actually Mrs. Finn, aka. Carol as of the first time this year, taught me how to make stromboli which is a personal favorite now amongst many of my loved ones. They are just an incredibly loving and supportive family and have always been so kind to me. I am photographing their youngest daughter Lauren’s wedding in August which is going to be such an honor. Anyhow, I brought the photobooth setup with me so that I could have some holiday examples, wanted to try and book some Corporate Holiday Party work in Philly. As it turns out though, due to the math in scheduling, I am only going to be home for a week so that probably is NOT going to happen this season, boooooo. The good news is that we had an AWESOME time and came away with some truly unforgettable images. Please enjoy.
The many faces of my boyfriend, bass genius, chef extraordinaire, Wii “won’t let me win” champ, crossword phenomenon, Andy Rice.

And now for the amazing Carla and her disappearing wine act!

Carla and her boyfriend Duane. Dear Duane, I LOVE these photos. And yes, you are right, it’s just the angle I swear.

Carla and Andy. The human Christmas tree. Can be ordered assembled if interested.
mmmmmmm, cake.

Andy and I. Our typical Friday night in!

I love this one of me and Carla’s Mom. I am not quite sure how appropriate this really was, but funny all the same. Thanks to Mr. Finn for shooting.

“Okay, now both of you squish your mother like you mean it!”

And now for a few family photos. . . . .

(one of my favorites from the booth sesh’. poor Denny, don’t cry.)

Observe Denny & Carla exhibiting functional sibling behavior in their natural habitat!

Okay, Denny just cracks me up. He was born to be in a photobooth. Here he is with his girlfriend!

A little Carla-Kirsten booth action please?

Lastly, my two absolute favorites and I cannot decide between them.

Thank you so much you guys! We had one of the best Thanksgiving feasts EVER!!! Seriously, the brined Turkey was the juciest (i really don’t like that word but it’s better than the alternative) most tastey bird i have ever had and all the sides were more than perfect. Thank you for being amazing models and great sports about it all. Hopefully, this won’t be the last time we all have dinner together. Much love to you all.
And to everyone else, hope you too had unforgettable moments this Thanksgiving. Happy Sunday. My announcement is coming this evening so please check back!

Downtown Richmond has so many fun nooks and crannies, part of me wishes I still lived there for the geography alone!

I see photographers incorporate umbrellas all the time in shoots. We actually needed them because it was raining just a hair, but sfter the spattering stopped we spent some time having fun with them.

Sasha is just so incredibly photogenic it blows me away!

Last shot of the day!

Thank you Sasha and Carmen for being such a blast to spend time with. Good luck with the last few months in school and keep me updated as to graduation and college!
